exhaust question

I have a 2-chamber Flowmaster. But I was thinking about replacing the Flowmaster with the Hooker Maximum Flow muffler.

I've heard that backpressure is good for the car. But, I also heard that backpressure is bad for the car.

All I'm looking for is more power and torque.

Any opinions/comments/suggestions appreciated.

Get rid of that Slomaster.A free flowing exhaust is what you want.

By changing to a freer flowing muffler you will probably gain some Horsepower but lose some Torque because of the loss of backpressure. Probably not much though.
