Exhaust Question?

Have my Pacesetter LT's installed and need to finish out the exhaust. I would like to go with the true dual, x-pipe and dump it before the axles. I live in Victoria, Tx and no local shop is going to do this for me because of Federal Regulations regarding catalytic converters and I don't want them. Any suggestions would be appreciated.
Thanks!!

Same thing i here from the shops here but if you tell them that it is for off road use only a couple around here will let you slide. Just an idea.

Re: Exhaust Question?

summit sells a universial x pipe that fits perfect...then get 2 bullet mufflers and take it to a shop have them weld it and bolt it on yourself

Re: Exhaust Question?

Yep, if you want true duals, you'll have to order a kit like summit's and install it yourself. There may be a shop that will do this for you, but chances are they won't. A Car X shop in my area did some work on my friend's 79 Camaro without the smog equipment, but 2 years later they wouldn't touch the car when he went to them to install true duals with H pipe. I ended up helping my friend put the duals on. It wasn't too bad as long as everything fits. Texas Speed now makes their own X pipe kit for $420 with bullets, alot less than Lanes and is sure to fit.

Re: Exhaust Question?

I don't purchasing a kit as long as I know it will fit...I heard that true dual kit from TSP is for the LS1...has anybody put that kit on their LT1 preferably with the Pacesetter LT's since that I what I have? Will that kit from summit work with my Longtubes? I read the posts that it works with the Jet Hots and Hookers. Thanks for the replies guys!!
