Exhaust Question

I am looking into to purchasing a new exhaust system for my 95 Z28. I really cannot afford a whole cat back system but I want a good product. What should I look into as a good setup at a reasonable price for a high school kid? Should I just go with Flowmaster? And where can I order it to install it myself?

you dont have to get a new catback. most of the higher quality systems are made entirely of stainless steel so they wont rust like a flowmaster. its fairly easy to pick up a $600 catback for half the price if you keep look around on F-body forums like this one in the for sale section.

also, a cut out is like 30 bucks and I've seen magnaflow on sale for like ~329 all stainless steel. If you want to go real cheap get a cut out...

i like the cutout idea, i had one on my car with a flowmaster, i usually left the cut out open though.
