exhaust odor inside vehicle

I am still dealing with exhasut odor inside my vehcile at idle. I cant figure it out.

WHat would allow exhaust to come in the vehicle? I have even used expanding spray foam where my heater core comes thru the firewall. Still getting the odor.

would a slight header gasket leak cause it? How would it get inside the car anyway even if it did leak?

if it's only at idle, maybe your collector gaskets are blown out a bit??

I did have leaks there, but I just installed Dead Soft aluminum gaskets on the collectors. Still having the same issue.

Maybe my header gaskets are leaking worse than I thought?

I am running copper gaskets and they have been on the car for about 4 years.

to be honest i don't think it will make all that much of a difference...just make sure ya clean up the header flanges and the ports on the heads...I'm using grade 8 locking bolts right now, but think i'm gonna try the ARP's next time...that 8mm head makes getting a box wrench on them childsplay....

i think you answered your own question of which gasket is best... you went 4 years without blowing header gasket, your lucky to get a year out of a set of paper gaskets.
