Exhaust Manifold Tap

Instead of just replacing the gaskets I've decided just to go and buy long tubes. I'm leaning towards x-pipes, but can you run cats with that? How much should long tubes, x-pipe, and whatever else I need run me?

Re: Exhaust Manifold Tap

Your post is kinda confusing but I'll try and help ya out a bit. Your looking at getting longtubes and want to run true duals with an x-pipe and cats? If that is correct then it'll be a minimum $1000. You would need the headers, 2 cats, x-pipe, 2 mufflers and have an exhaust shop make up the pipes for it to be joined together.

Re: Exhaust Manifold Tap

I'm trying to get through inspection right now with the manifold tap, its not too noticable on warmer days. On cold days forget it its loud as hell. So if I manage to get through inspection I'm good for 2 years. I was rejected in september for some minor things. My car has been in the shop for the past few months for a mess of problems (manifold tap just came about recently) so I'm overdue by about 2 months on reinspection. Usually they just take a look at the things that I was rejected for so I'm hoping the tap isnt noticed.
