exhaust manifold issue

I just replaced my exhaust manifold gasket because the driver side rear was leaking. I start the car up and it is still leaking! Whats the issue? and how can it be fixed?

if you replaced the gasket correctly and it is still leaking you probably have a warped or cracked exhaust maifold. less likeley you could have a stripped bolt or bolt hole but you would have found that when you changed the gasket.

Didn't leave any old gasket material stuck to the head? Also did you check the flatness of the surface, especially in the leak area?

lmao yeah cuz headers always seal
You manifold is probably not flat or the bolts are bottoming out and not clamping hard enough.

If it is warped, you can take it to a machine shop and have them mill it flat.

yeah i also have real bad carbon build up on the cylinders that are leaking.. and i think its causing a hesitation from 1500 to 2000rpms where it just bogs down and doesnt sound right.. so theres no other way to get around this guys? i just put out a grand for my ls1 to get the rear done lol.. so im alittle short on money
