exhaust leak

Hey guys, I recently rebuilt my lt1 and now have a leak coming from the engine bay up through the ac vents. I've checked everything except changing the headers wich i really dont want to do. Would it work if I just used 2 sets of gaskets? I'm thinking the headers aren't perfectly flushed w/ the heads. thanks for any help

i would wager using 2 sets of gaskets would increase the amount of leak. find where the leak is, and work on fixing it.

Two gaskets can very well make more of a problem. Are you sure all of the bolts are tight and none of them backed out? Are you also sure that you didn't blow a header gasket altogether. Do you have the EGR connection intact still. If so, check to make sure that the EGR pipe didn't somehow get damaged. Also, check the connection where the header collectors meet the y-pipe and make sure there are no leaks coming from there.
