excessive header exhaust heat, what could it be?

Well after i sorted all my problems out and got the car tuned for drivability, i started to drive it more and more. Now i notice that my car get extrimly hot in the inside especially little air blowing through the leg vents and from the shifter. It never used to do it before i had heads/cam/headers set up now with the 383 and the d1 the heat is very anoying after driving the car in traffic after 15-20 mins, on the highway its not as bad. I have a 160 degree thermostat and the fans are set to come on at about 175. The coolant temps never go above 185 while even sitting in traffic but the exhaust heat is bad.
My exhaust set up as follows
Ceramic Coated Hooker Long tubes/egr blocked off
Mufflex Ypipe
Mufflex 4" cat back / spintech muffler, dual 3" outlets
no cat
the car seems to run a little worse after in traffic for more then 20 min it dosent seem as responsive as it usually does but once again i think everything gets heat soaked so badly thats why it does it.

thanks for the replys in advance.

Hot exhaust primaries could be an indication of a lean fuel mixture among other things.

it has been tuned off the lt1 edit, we loged the car and the long time fuel trims looked good, but i havent thrown the car on the dyno to see what my A/F is. I dont think its lean if anything its going to be rich right now the plugs look a litttle on the black side. And it throws some black smoke out of the exhaust time to time when i drive. And you can defanatly see the stuff on the rear pumper small black dots. I have an external aeromotive a1000 pump.
