EWP install - an idea?
EWP install - an idea?
Any of you who have put an EWP in for a daily driver, did you ever try wiring in a sort of "dummy" light that you put in the car to warn you of a failure? I was thinking of it today, and thought maybe I can use the low antifreeze sensor plug as a "dummy" ? My sensor has long gone and I just unplugged it to take out the light, but is there a way to wire it up with the WP to signal the light to go off - in case of pump failure?
Just an idea, figured it might work if I wired it properly, and if it's doable... exactly how to wire it up?
Oh btw, installing a CSR pump with a painless wp install kit that I got from summit.
Thanks!

Or you could put a (3/8 MNPT) "water temp idiot light" switch in the unused cooling water port in the passenger side cylinder head and use it to provide the ground that can energize a 12 vdc buzzer from Radio Shack and a light too, if desired. Speaking for myself, I do look at my gauges but it only takes a minute to drive for a mile or more with the motor warmed up and a failed water pump at highway speeds. I don't want that experience, now I have a buzzer to alert me if the water temp gets too high.
