They are VERY slow. As long as you are talking about the OZ Rally edition. They are turds.

To my knowledge they have not come out with a turboed one from the factory yet. I heard that Mitsubishi was going to see how well they sold and then later on put a faster race on in the production line.

They just released a turboed evo edition supposed to be late this year. I think they around 270-280 hp all wheel drive.

The car u raced was a new Mitsubishi Lancer Evo 8
This cars are flippin FAST!!! stock and with a little money (bigger intercooler, boost control, bigger downpipe, non-leaking BOV and better flowing exhaust) and these things will rip a a tree stump out of the ground.

But in stock form the basic rundown is full time all wheel drive (think WRX stuff) with a body kit and special wheels and the 4g63 block from the eclipse and a improved turbo setup from mitsu. In stock form some magazines have seen 280 hp to the wheels. This car has many hand me down technology from the Rally edition lancers.
I would definatly compare this car to about a VR-4 3KGT, WRX, or GSX Eclipse.

If u killed one on the highway nice job but be careful this car in the right hands will hand u ur *** next time

BTW : I LOVEEE my TRANS AM but AWD launces are hard to beat.

The Lancer Evos are out. They are turbocharged AWD and rated at 271hp from the factory. Most people run mid-high 13s in them. The stock record as of right now is a 13.125 @ ~102mph in the quarter. Just turn up the boost a little bit and let the car breath better (open element and exhaust) and you should have an easy mid-low 12 second car.

Are you sure that the 271 hp Evo's are out yet?? I was under the impression that they were not going to be out for a while. My mistake earlier then because i though you were talking about a OZ Rally edition. Those cars are jokes. I fully respect the new evo, especially when i read in car and driver that it will have the old eclipse block with improved internals and an improved turbo. 13.2 is impressive for those cars but from a roll trap speed is what counts and 102 is not that impressive. I will take one for the moment and thats all i care about.

I just test drove one (nice color blue). From about a 10-12 MPH roll that thing GETS UP AND GOOOOEEESSS!!! It did look great on the outside. Don't remember a big spoiler though?? The thing comes with 4 piston brembo brakes in the front and 2 piston brembo brakes in the back stock. Also it has a good size intercooler upfront. I'd ONLY change the BOV, better down pipe, and a little better pulley's and that car will be really quick.

Only one problem, it came from Mitsu for $30. My buddy in town said the marketup value right now is $6k so it was going for $36,500. I'd rather get a Neon SRT-4 for $20 and sink another $2k into it and beat me an AWD Mitsu

God that would be a good race!
