i am getting my engine rebuilt but i dont wanna go crazy but i also wanna get soemhting a little better than stock so i am just gonna go with a new cam. which one? i was thinking the hot cam? if i change the cam should i change anything else too? and would it be easier to put long tubes on while the engines out?

 

getting rebuilt with stock parts? get the hot cam kit, and have the guy throw that on there. of course you'll need to make that engine breath and the stock manifolds suck.

 

yeah this is just a low budget stock rebuild out of necessity. it would be nice to do more but this was unexpected. so do i need anything else to run the hot cam, new lifters or anything?

 

you can use most everything else stock, just make sure you get new springs. if you get the hotcam kit, it will come with new springs and 1.6 ratio roller rockers. just a thought
