everybody with the cc305 look!

I just rebuilt the engine with mods in sig. I have noticed that i really dont have much bottom end anymore. Is this common with the cc305?seems like it comes on strong right around 2300(which it should).Another question, what do you all shift at??

Thanks,Sean

Umm its been awhile since i had the cc305 but it felt like it had power all the way around.. specially up at 4k. Dyno showed mine had a nice torque curve and good hp all the way through. I was also getting false knock with the roller rockers. So maybe your getting some knock and taking away power..
I'd get a dyno tune if its affordable.

I ran my car with the cc305 for almost a year with the stock torque converter, and yes low end was weak. I could mash the throttle from a stop on the road and not spin the tires unitll the RPMs reached about 2500. Right now I'm shifting mine at 6000. When on the dyno I pulled to 6000 RPM and that was the highest HP reading. So my peak is above 6000 RPM, I'm going to raise my shift points to 6200. Just limited by the stock bottom end
I've got a EDGE 3400 stall, that really woke it up.

I have great bottom end with this cam. 1500 up to about 2700 is about like a stock cam, and above 3200 rpm there is no comparison. I have an M6 w/ stock gears (3.42s), and at 70 mph on the highway in 6th gear (1700 rpm), on flat ground, I can get on it and it'll be at 80 within a few seconds, and I don't hit 2000 rpm until 85 mph. Most people talk about cams killing their highway gear, not mine! I can use 6th gear at 55mph (1400 rpm) and still be fine!

Not the 305, but with this XE, it feelt like it did when I was all bolt on up to about 2500 rpm. After that, things changed big time.. Nature of the beast with a larger (than stock) cam?

how loopey is your idle(305)? Mine sounds like a damn boat. It really sounds and feels like i am running on 7cyls. Checked all the plugs and wires,no arching or fouled plugs.I am at a loss.

Mine is pretty dang lopey, it sounds as lopey as most 112 lsa cams I've heard. It should still drive smooth though. If it drives rough, you may have a burny wire, or a vacuum leak.

this may sound stupid but I removed my air pump and everything that goes along with it. could that be a problem. I plugged up all the vacumm lines but I am not too sure.

Are you still running around on stock heads? Also, what are the dimensions on the Edelbrock tubular exhaust?

headers...

Get some different headers and see how it runs....Long tubes woke the car up a whloe lot....My car had the edels on it ...My car went from 13.3s with edels,to 12.5 long tubes , elec.WP, and a tune from Bryan, with stock stall, and heads....May not be an option for you but letting it breathe will work wonders.....
