Honestly, it's not that scarry if you're using a set of back up heads. It's only scarry if you take the heads off Friday night, and have to drive the car to work Monday morning.

Awe nuts... now I'm REALLY tempted to "touch up" the LT1 castings in my garage.

Thanks Jordan, this is probably the first head porting guide I've seen that uses LT1 heads for the example/pictures.

Standard Abrasives has a cool "pocket porting" guide using Chevy 305 iron heads, and Lingenfelter discusses L98 and Gen-I SBC heads (iron and aluminum) in his book on hot rodding the SBC, but I don't recall anyone showing off their LT1 work like this.

Should help a few low-buck guys get some better than stock heads on there rides.

of course for max power, a pro is your best bet. Trust me, 30+ sets of heads later, I am much better than when I started
