evaluate my new engine

i am doing it. time for me to have a new engine, and do it good. evaluate my plan

lt1 block (the one i am picking up is said to be from a 95 corvette, i shall see what it really is when i arrive and pick it up) i want to make it a 355. i have no clue what to tell the shop other than "do it"
stock crank
chromoly rods 9maybe stock rods, please inform me)
lightweight forged pistons
internally balanced

heads ported by someone, not sure who yet, but probably something comparable to a stage II head by LE.
a rediculous cam. i will probably go with joe o. i am just going to tell him i am using 1.6 rockers and stock lifters, and i want the thing to sound so mean mothers will walk out of their houses and bring their children inside so they don't have nightmares. power would be nice as well.

i want this thing to have between 400-420whp, then throw a 100-150 shot on.

that is my plan. if it sucks and is rediculous, say "hey romoranger, your plan sucks and it will explode in flames". if you think this thing has a chance at working let me know that as well, and constructive criticism is invivted as well. also what type of bearing you suggest, and what type of rod boolts would be good, as i would imagine those are prety darn important. other than that i was planning on ARP hardware

the engine in the car right now will find a new home in a third gen

oh yeah, my exhaust will be long tubes and an x-pipe which is a given, but i am not sure how big the new injectors should be. not sure if 30lbers would be enough

Sounds good. 30# injectors should be enough but i would get some 36# or some 42s if i was you. Sounds like it will be a fun project. Make sure you choose a shop with a good reputation so you dont get f'ed over.

Re: evaluate my new engine

36's it is. i am hoping to have the shortblock completed by december, long block by spring break. then the double roller/vented opti/e. waterpump by summer, and install by end of next summer.

that is the time plan, but knowing myself it will all be in by december
