ET Performance Cylinder Heads? Any Experience with them?

Does anybody have any experience with ET Performance Cylinder Heads out of Walled Lake, Michigan? Good, bad, indifferent?

ET Performance Website

I am considering using them for a new set of heads for my LT1, but I don't know much about them other than they are having some good success with LS1 Style heads from some of what I have seen on LS1Tech.com.

I was just hoping to get some more information about them and people's experiences with them prior to dropping some large coin on some AFR 227s.

Thanks,

Dave

He sent me prices because I was in on the LS1 Tech thread too. Honestly I saw the contact with him as just one more reason to look at Lloyd Elliot and not just because of the prices.

How's that? What turned you off about them?

Re: ET Performance Cylinder Heads? Any Experience with them?

First he listed no prices, then I try to link to their prices on their site and he says there are no prices on the site, so then I cut and paste their prices. He then replies that those prices are not for these heads, and PMs me a price I thought was quite high(approaching LE3 heads AND cam package) and I never got the pics he was going to email. Asked about the iron heads specifically and was told they would flow the same as the aluminums. My understanding is that while the irons start out better than most of the aluminums there is less material to work with and if you push them to the limits like his flow numbers for the aluminums suggest then the irons are likely to crack. Sorry saying that another casting from another material will flow just the same didn't sit well made me think he had no experiance with them. No experiance is fine but admit it and say after we do the work we will get you the numbers. Just did not give me a good impression, sort of like he was a salesman NOT someone who did the work and knew what he was talking about.

I will have to do that as I am exploring my options...I wonder if they are working tomorrow....I know I'm not (good to be Fed Employee)....well besides working on my car a bit.

Give me a call if you still have my number, but I am pretty well certain the heads are already sold to Mike. But if for some reason that falls through I will let you know.

They work on some of the fastest street car peoples heads in the racing world. "LOTS" of there heads are sold thru many other well know shops with those shops names on them... trust me guys.
They can't list prices when they have the HUGE array of options. There shop is state of the art in cnc head porting. I've been set up along side of them on manufactures midways at NSCA races this last summer and there stuff ROCKS!
