Estimated numbers with new mods ?
Estimated numbers with new mods ?
Howdy,
So im sending my LT1 in for some top end work. Porting and matching the Heads and the Intake, also porting the intake for a 58MM throttle body. Same time also throwing a CC306 cam in (plan to run nitrous if anyone has a better reccomendation for a kickass N-A/Nitrous cam since this is a daily driver camaro) and an LT4 ED Timing Chain. Might throw an underdrive pulley on there as well, anyone know what kinda HP id be making at the wheels with an A4?
Thanks,
Dave

Theres thunder racings link with all of the specs, while the 306 doesn't have a 114 LSA (112 LSA) it'd still be a kickass cam with some nitrous right?
Would i need new RR, springs, valves, etc with a CC306 cam or any of the cams in the above link? Also what would be a good cam for a street/strip car where i drive fairly aggressive? I understand the basis of cams and all, but i still don't know how to choose the right cam for me i just want to be able to drive the car on the street, and turn around and be able to run 12's at the track while still retaining some economy.
ALSO: alot of those cams say they need heads, headers, etc. Besides computer tuning which is a must...can i get away with stock manifolds for about 2 months since its the winter now and i barely drive the car? Also does porting and polishing your heads count as "heads" or would i need more extensive work done to them? Or just buy the new trick flow heads once i save up enough money again?
If you can help me out that'd be kickass because i think im gonna have the guy order the cam for me tomorrow so i kinda need to get back to him on what cam i'd like for my application.

Re: Estimated numbers with new mods ?
The cc306 ona 112 LSA should be just fine for a 150 and less shot. Get any higher than that and start looking at some other cams. Sounds like it's going to be one kick *** setup.

Edit: You are going to have a really hard time driving the car with stock manifolds and no stall in there. You'll be basically choking it. Not to mention your tunning will completely change once you get headers on there. And lastly you'll need new valve springs(at the very least) or you're going to get some piston to valve contact/destruction.
