Estimated cost for machining/assembly 385?

I already have most of the short block parts, 4-bolt block, 3.75" crank, forged SRP 4.040 pistons, Scat I-beams, Canton RR pan, ARP main studs, just need to get custom cam, new timing set, balancer, and rings/bearings.

So what would be an estimate for boring (.040 over), line honing, clearancing, and assembling the bottom end (short block) assuming QUALITY bearings, machining, and assembly? I just want a ballpark of how much I should expect for this.

It will be a 385 12.3-4 SCR/9.2 DCR E85 LE3 headed motor, estimating 520 HP (crank) for street/autox/occasional road course use.

Already have 4-bolt main block w/ARP studs.

$74.99 Main Bearings (installed)
$74.96 Rod Bearings (installed)

$300.00 Shortblock assembly

$32.00 Piston assembly (8)
$150.00 Balance Rotating Assembly

$210.00 Canton Oil Pan Also already have.
$45.00 Oil Pickup
So I'm looking at approximately $1144.00 for machining and assembly for my shortblock? That's not too bad. Since I also already have the LE3 heads, I would just need to get my intake ported, and lifters, then I could bolt the heads/intake on and seal the motor up. Only leaving me the valvetrain left to measure and install. If this price is correct ballpark, then maybe I can get it put together soon.

Those prices are direct from my 383 build.

LE3 heads and a good custom 23x/24x cam will make that thing FLY
Remember to degree the cam, measure the pushrods, use 36 or 42# injectors and have it properly tuned when you are done.
