ES Trans Mount is Aweful
It's obviously not the mount that's the problem. It's meant to be a stiff mount. The vibration is the problem and probably means something is getting worn at an accelerated rate. Driveshaft, ujoints, and angle of the entire drive train should all be looked at. Is the engine smooth when the clutch is pushed in? There may be someone in a local club that will let you test with their aluminum drive shaft. That might save you wasting some money. Anyway good luck.
Evidently GM discontinued the 1LE mount (that SLP carried as #60005) & SLP will be making their own (#60006). It's not on the website, but it is in the new catalog. Give them a call (732)349-2109 & see what they say.
ENERGY SUSPENSION mount
Hey guys a bit of information about the Energy suspension mount, its on recall from them. I put one one and picked up the this "vibration" that alot of you talk about. Call them they will be more then happy to talk with you about it. The ES mount was tooled wrong. I.E. its wrong size to it. Its to big throwing off the pinion angle. I switched mine out to a PROTHANE and bam no vibration. Also when comparing them the ES is noticibly different. dont belive me, compare with stock mount. Just thought id throw that in to everyone.
I had a vibration for a while, but it stopped. I had my ES installed last Oct. Thought it would have been broken in by then, maybe not. Everything is fine now.
I definatly need to check into it being the wrong build. I hate to have something ruined cause of this..

I was running the ES mount, now it's sitting on top of my workbench until I get around to calling ES. It was way too harsh to live with on a daily basis, so it had to go.
When I was looking for a replacement, Jason Cromer told me the 1LE mount is no longer available -- he had ordered one for someone else, but when it came in it had the standard mount part number. Looking around a bit more I found that some LT1 guys on this board were running the LS1 mount. Quick call to Jason and the mount was ordered.
The LS1 mount is considerably different than both the stock and the 1LE mount. It does have an external torque limiter (it interlocks), so even if it did break, it couldn't move around very much (and I doubt that this mount will ever break). Next time I have the car up in the air, I'll take a picture of it.
The only drawback is the price -- around $45 if I recall. You will also need the nut for it (sold separately, and you should be able to find one that fits at the local hardware store, but I ordered mine the same time I ordered the mount). But if I had to replace the stock or 1LE mount a couple of times, I would have spent that much anyway.
A couple of things I've noted -- the ES never gets "softer"; you just get used to the vibration. Mine was installed for a couple of years and had over 10k miles on it, and it never got any better. Replacing the stock driveshaft with a 1LE unit did make some of the vibration go away, but at certain speeds the harmonics would still cause a vibration. Even after changing to a Moser 12 bolt and a Denny's driveshaft, I still had vibrations at certain speeds (and at particular engine RPMs).

I would agree with the guys above.... be suspicious of your drive shaft. Some of them vibrate like an SOB...and the ES mount just amplifies it. Best combination is an ES mount and a LSI or equivalent drive shaft.

I have an ES mount too and ever since I installed it I have had bad vibrations at about 60-65mph+. I also have a 1LE driveshaft. IMO, it is probably the worst thing I've ever done to my car since I drive highway 70% of the time. I may pull the 1LE and have it balance checked but it really seems the mount itself is the cause.
