Acctually, 1992 was the last year that any Camaro was made at the Van Nuyes plant. It is now the Van Vuyes Shopping Mall.

Hmm.. So "2" (3rd digit) is in fact the digit for representing "Van Nuyes" assembly plany and not "N" like this book references it to be.
All 4th gens were built in St. Therese, Canada and that is represented by a "2" in the 11th position.

If you are looking to decode a 3rd gen, then it will have an "L" for Van Nuyes or an "N" for Norwood.
