Balancing problem…Please help
I just replace my engine with one from junkyard. The “new” used engine comes from Buick Roadmaster so it has automatic transmission. Now the engine vibrates little bit. It vibrates when it is on idle or when I am accelerating. When I am driving and not accelerate car (shifter especially), doesn’t vibrate but when I am accelerating my shifter vibrate like crazy. Other problem is that my gears are hard to put in-1st and reverse especially. I know that LT1 is externally balanced on the back-flywheel and internally on front-harmonic balancer Some people said that it could me bad injector other people said that I need to balance my flywheel and others said that I have to try work with my harmonic balancer (I had to take it out and maybe I put it in wrong position?). Is there a special way to setup flywheel with engine or it could be any position? I really need your help guys...
Thanks

i'd say pull the clutch and start there.. sounds like thats the stem of your problem.. being you can't put into gear easily.. I woudln't worry about the motor being out of balance. Also check for burnt plug wires and all the ign. symptom's that could be assumed as a "vibration" but actually be a stumble (miss) other than that good luck..
but i'm banking on the clutch being hosed up.. save your time and headache's and just buy a replacement flywheel,clutch/pp assy.. IMHO..
