Engine trouble wont start?! Need help
I have '94 Trans Am, A4. Its been sitting for the last week or so and I went out today just to start it up and it wouldn't start. I checked the battery and it was fine; I dont think its the started but Im not sure. It sounds like it about to "turn-over" but doesn't. Please help.

So you have a crank no start? Check for fuel and spark. I know when I had problems with my car cranking but not starting I would get a SES light if I cranked it for too long. Do you get anything like that?

I have a half of tank left as far as fuel is concerned, and youll have to forgive me im an ameatur at best when it comes to car mechanics, so how would I check the spark, and I dont notice any "SES" (what does that stand for?) light when I crank the engine
Re: Engine trouble wont start?! Need help
SES stands for "service engine soon". It's a light that comes on when your cars computer realizes something is wrong. As far as fuel I was talking about making sure the fuel in your tank is getting to your injectors. You would do that by checking the fuel pressure on the fuel rail. Checking for spark can be pretty easy, I normally just pull a plug wire and with a friend turning the car over check to see if there is a spark in the spark plug boot. Have you tried pushing on the gas at all when you start it? Here are two links on how to check for fuel and spark.
