As you guys know by now. Im not really too spiff on Engines/Transmissions. None of the above, So i come to u Guys for help . now let me tell you what happened? I pulled up on the side of a Seemed too be Stock Camaro (my camaro is stock for now) and We started too race.. and he dug me out. He was awhole car ahead of me. What was happening when i went up against him was..when i floored it. My engine was screamin, But it didnt seem like it was pullin/responding (until probally after 5 seconds, and thats too slow of a response if your racing... RIGHT???) like the other camaro, and then It finally pulls, but then if i continue too keep punching it, the ENGINE will OVERREV, and the SERVICE ENGIN E LIGHT POPS ON! whats WRONG EVERYBODY? the car is strong, but when I punch it too the max, It should seem like the response should be alot better, Maybe you guys have had this problem, Thanks for all your help? Is it the transmission/Engine? what is it?

it could be that the tranny is not shifting at wot. this same exact thing happened to my friends camaro and it turned out to be the tranny.
