Engine temp seems high after front lip install

I have not drove my car since the start of this heat wave because I have been installing a RKsport lip kit. So today I went for a little rip and noticed my temp gauge was almost half way. I have only ever seen it this high after a couple runs on the bottle.
I'm thinking its the hot weather or the front lip is not allowing enough fresh air over the rad. I bought the kit used so I'm not sure if a new front air deflector is needed. Where can I get a new air deflector or can I fab an extension.

Your correct and not enough air is getting to the air dam. I'm sure you can come up with something that will take care of the problem. Like you said, "extention".
