engine stalled while driving/won't restart!!

Just what the post says...On Friday night, I was accelerating hard onto the freeway, and I had just shifted into 2nd gear and all of a sudden, the engine just turned off!! I tried to restart it while the car was still moving and it wouldn't. I coasted it to the side of the freeway and continued to try to restart with no luck (the starter works fine but the engine wont turn over). I had to get it towed back to my friend's house. I went back the next day with one of my friends (who knows alot about working on cars, and is actually the one who just did my motor swap for me, etc) to take a look at the car. He checked for a spark and found none, and he thought it might be the ignition coil or the ignition control module. I replaced the coil, and it didn't fix anything, so I took the control module to an auto parts store to have it tested, and they said it was working fine. So, what's next?? Is it most likely my optispark?? Any info is appreciated-Thanks!

Sounds like the ICM is not right. Gm didn't place it in the most convienient place right up against the head. If it was the opti usually you would have some indication it was going out first.

I suspected the ICM, but I took it to a local auto parts store to have it tested with their meter, and they said it was fine.
