axle

has anyone ever replaced a rear axle on one of these cars? i've got one that is slightly bent and its eating up my rotor on the driver side rear. is this a hard install/removal? how hard is another axle to find?

Its not hard to replace an axle. But you do have to take the center cover off of the rear end. Take the little 5/16 bolt out of the carrier and slide the center pin out( youll know what im talking about when you get in there) Once you slide it out you should be able to push your axle in about 3/8 inch. and a c lip will ether fallout or you have to pull it out ( a magnet on a stick works good here) when you get the c clip out all you have to do is pull the axle out. It shouldn't be that hard even for a beginer. Does your car have traction control?? If it does I have a couple of axles for sale. If not good luck

this is where I'm stuck at. I got the pinion seal stuff out but I can't figure where or how to get the c-clip out. I can see gears around some yellow springs. Is what I'm sopposed to pull out the metal thing that goes around the springs? Thanks in advance for any replies.
