It sounds like something came disconnected. I just read where someone hit the cat on a curb causing the thing to be plugged where the car would not run. This one may be hard to figure out. Did any part of the car hit the bump?

I would start with a fuel pressure test and the make sure you have spark. I can only think to try the easy stuff and eliminate them first. My best guess is something got jarred loose and now the passage way is blocked or something is broken.

I read on another board once that the same thing happened to someone. It turned out that the jar from the bump killed his fuel pump.Sounds unlikely but stranger things have happened.

I'd go over all the connections again. Is it just the motor that doesn't start, or are other accessories not working as well? I would also look over the power and ground blocks on the passenger shock tower.

Check the safety switch for the fuel pump, its there in case you get in an accident, so fuel doesnt keep pumping.

Is the exhaust manifold heating up when you try and spin it over? (Don't test with your hands) and if one is are both? also check all your fuses you might have just shorted something and blown a fuse in the process.

I experienced the same symptoms when the 2 screws that hold the rotor to the optispark backed themselves out. I was at 4k rpms and sideways when it happened, the car died and upon attempting to start it the car sounded like 1 cylinder was firing. I pulled the opti apart, loctited the rotor screws, put it back together and never had another problem.

tested

i have spark about 1 spark per second when cranking, after cranking on it a little bit the headers do get warm not hot but warm. so thats prolly not the opti. this is becoming a head banger, how much presure should i have for fuel. anything else i should check. i was getting ready to pop the water ump off to check the opti.
