Engine RPMs slow to drop/hunt when clutch is in.

Hey guys,

This problem is driving me nuts. I have already replaced the throttle position sensor, and now I just replaced the IAC and my RPMs still drop slow with the clutch in or hunt up sometimes to around 2.5 to 3. I feel like I've tried everything. Any help greatly appreciated.

Thanks!

Is this when you are moving or not moving? The computer keeps the RPM up a little until you stop.

Re: Engine RPMs slow to drop/hunt when clutch is in.

Thanks for the reply.

It is both when moving and when not moving, and like I said it can climb up to 3k RPMs. Usually when I come to a stop it will very slowly come down but almost never to normal idle RPMs. Also there are times where it stays high enough that I can let the clutch out and not give it gas - it will drive like an automatic lol.

Have you checked for vacuum leaks?

^^^^x2

Vacuum leaks or perhaps a sticking throttle body. Verify the TB actually returns to the stop screw when you let off the pedal.
