Engine replacement options?

Soo I have a 97 z28 and I have a misfire on my bank 2 I've tried everything to fix it. The only thing left really is the lobe on the cam is worn out bad. Anyway.. considering replacing the cam (if it is indeed worn) but then I figure "hey, the engines out, why not rebuild it" since it has 170k on it. Then the other part of me wants a totally new engine. I know it might be twice the price but if there are any good options for a low mileage engine (less than 100k) I would like this very Much. can get a new engine that requires very little mods to put it in for
like 1500-2000$? And what would those choices be? (I didn't know where else to post sorry)

I don't think you have to pull the engine to remove the camshaft.

but keep an eye on the parts for sale section for engines.

Re: Engine replacement options?

you can get a remanufactured engine for under 2k with a 3 year warranty just look around.
