I'm halfway through my front end teardown and keep thinking, "since I have it this far, maybe I should remove the engine too"

My question is, when removing the engine from the bottom, has anyone raised the front of their car using jacks and stands instead of an engine hoist? Not sure if it's doable and safe wanted to get some opinions first..

 

i did. just made some jackstands and jacked it up. I think i have some pics of it somewhere

It works better if you have a jack on each side so you can get the car up evenly.
