Engine Re-entry into car

I am just finishing up a rebuild on my LT1, and I have a brand new set of Hooker Super Comp. LT's. Should I put them on before dropping the engine into the car, or wait until the engine is bolted down to the motor mounts and connected to the bell-housing?

I've seen a motor being dropped in with LTs, give it a shot.

I wasn't sure if the LT's could be dented or kinked very easy.
