Unhappy Engine Problems...HELP!

Last week I posted about forgetting to close the hood and it rained. Most responses were to not crank it until it dries. So I disconnected all electrical plugs to let dry. Today I plug everything back up and cranked it. There is a loud knocking sound and clicking from the engine. I got a P0300 (Random Misfire) code and there is a liquid (doesn't smell like gas) coming out of the tail pipes. The knocking sounds like it is coming from plug 7. I was going to pull and felt liquid around it but cannot find a leak. The driver side header seems like it has the liquid in it also. Any ideas on what could cause this? I can not say the opt is good since it did get wet.

if you tried to crank it at all when there was water in the cylinders, and now there is knocking, odds are you probably spun a bearing. Water doesn't compress.

Was the rain heavy enough to pour through the SS airbox and flow into the intake? Did you pull the air box and the ducting to make sure it wasn't full of water?

It rained hard. The filter was wet, but only a little bit was in the intake box. There was a few drops around the elbow area but nothing near the throttle body. I did move it into the garage when the motor was still a little wet. I had dried the airbox before i cranked it and left filter off.

did you pull the plugs? I would have pulled the plugs and cranked the car over until all water was pushed out of the cylinders before trying to start it. If there is water in the cylinders and you were cranking it, you most likely spun a bearing.

I pulled the plugs but did not crank it with the plugs out. There might have been water still in the cylinder. How would I tell if I spun a bearing?
