engine noise

Okay, so just a little background info. 95 z28, recently put in LTs. About a month goes by and then the car starts making this weird sound, almost sounds like flapping. It also machine guns on decel. I'm posting a link to a vid of the car so if you have the time, please take a look so you can hear what I am talking about. Here is what I think may be the issue(s) so I just wanted to bounce them off you guys and see what you think.

1. Exhaust leak. (checked the system for holes, didn't find any, but maybe the header gasket blew and that's the cause)
2. Untuned. (I never had the PCM tuned because I didn't think it was necessary, so maybe that's the issue)
3. I have not hooked up the emissions stuff back up (AIR and EGR, so that may be contributing)
4. Blown head gasket ( This one scares me the most, I reeeealllly hope its not this one)
5. I'm just stupid and that's how its supposed to sound ( I'm 99% sure this isn't the case, but hell, you never know)

Any advice would be greatly appreciated guys and if there's something I didn't list but you think may be he source of the problem, please don't hesitate to tell me.

Re: engine noise

One thing that is pretty common with these engines is that they get exhaust leaks from the exhaust header bolts breaking off, especially at the back of the driver's side exhaust manifold.

Re: engine noise

Sounds like you have a exhaust leak from headers or donut gasket
it also sounds like there is a mis fire make sure that all of the plug wires are
snapped on tight. most likely a exhaust leak take a flash light and look for dirty black spots

A lot of muffler - exhaust shops will put it on the lift for a free inspection with their stethascope and can find most leaks pretty quick. It its before the o2 sensor then car will be adjusting the fueling based on wrong information so I would check it out soon or have it checked. If your looking yourself you can have someone hold rag over tailpipe and may exaggerate the leak and make it easier to find, look for the black soot, can try a hose to your ear(like a stethascope) can feel for whisping air(in some locations) or use smoke. Common places to leak- headers, any fitting or connection, some welds, any place water can pool and sit inside pipe or muffler.
