engine noise

okay so the other day i was driving too fast, to the tune of about 130 only for a couple seconds. anyways afterwards i noticed about 10 psi in my oil pressure drop. it still idled at 20 psi and would hit 45 or so cold at 2,000rpm. but average cruising is about 30. i noticed some knocking too but only at about 2,000 and up. ive already figured the engine is shot but any guesses about what exactly happened. i talked to a mechanic friend and he thought maybe rod bearings since i still had oil pressure. it runs still but definately knocks some at higher rpms. thanks for the guesses and ill let everyone know what the consensus is when its torn apart.

Re: engine noise

I vote for a rod bearing.
