Engine Miss/Shake/Hesitation. Help wanted :)

Well my engine developed a miss on the way home from FLA today. Bad idle, the miss vibrates the car (engine shakes) at idle, and at part throttle/part throttle acceleration. The miss smooths out around 3000 rpm cruising, but comes back with acceleration. The car runs as fast as always at WOT.

Time for new O2s? Help!

I (and many other's on this board) have been dealing with a very similar issue for a while now. 1st thing I did was replace the front O2 sensors. Just my luck, one of the new O2s was bad. It took a while to figure it out, but I finally have good O2s in the car and it seems to be running much better.

Other things I did was replace the spark plugs, space the coil out away from the cylinder head, and put the OEM coil wire back on. The opti end of the Taylor coil wire is fat enough to rest against the watepump's casing. I didn't see it arcing at all, but went back to stock anyway.

I've only driven it 10 or so miles since I did these things, so I'm not sure if the problem is truly resolved yet.

Good luck to you,
Thomas.

Well its not a plug/wire/ignition issue because it runs fine WOT.

(plugs/wire was my first guess)

I had the same problem a couple of weeks ago. Turned out to be a bad O2.

Runs fine when it's cold too. Let it heat up and sure enough. Started running bad when it went into open loop. Will pick up new O2s tomorrow.
