Engine mangement options

Hey guy's I heven't posted on here in while but I am looking to step up my stuff a little.

I am planning on a big solid roller(26x/27x) at around 700 lift with some AFR 227 Eliminators when they come out. Along with a healty dose of nitrous(300+)

I currently run a stock bottomend 847. High 11's as it sits.

So with the new cam and all the nitrous I want something ECU wise that can comprehend all of this going on and will allow for the extra RPM the cam will like.

So what are the current/best options out there. And price is a consideration. I want an ECU that can understand a dry shot, or switch between mulitple fuel and spark tables.

Thanks
Troy

I have the accel DFI gen7...I have heard they have something new coming out in the next year
I like the XFI myself but couldn't afford it.... Those are the only ones I have any knowledge of so I won't comment on anything else

What am I looking at price wise for the system??? ANy info is great as I have none now.

What are the differences between DFI and XFI?

Is there a piggyback with just air and fuel control? I think the stock PCM would handle the shifting past 7k, but I'd have to open up the T-cat and find out for sure.

Do a internet search for SQUIRT1, its a pretty neat set up. My buddy had it on a built roller/TBI big block and raved about it.

+1 for Megasquirt. $400 and even has features that the big 3 don't (BS3, FAST, DFI).

It will send spark through the stock module, coil and opti. Theoretical, it could process the low res signal from the opti, but no one has made it work yet. Some guys got it to work with the OBDII crank hub and crank position sensor.
