engine makes a weird noise when shifting WOT!!
well i know its not bad, but when i step on the throttle alot and get my rpms around 4-5 k.....right when it shifts i hear my belt go sqeeeeek, like i have a loose belt or soemthing!! what could this be? my belt broken or my puliies need some grease? its been like this for awhile...

The belt is losing traction on the pullies for a split second at the shift. Buy a new belt, but before you put it on, take a Scotchbrite pad to all the pulley surfaces that contact the belt. Then put the new belt on. It's not the perfect solution, but it seems to help. It seems as though the factory tensioner doesn't apply enough pressure to the belt at high rpms...

I have the same thing happening and posted not long ago about it. Some people recommeded getting a Goodyear Poly Gatorback belt, and also cleaning the pulleys... You can also get a new tensioner as well... I think the ones that came with our cars stock were replaced with a slightly stronger tensioner by gm.

well my belt is new from oreilly's got it not tooo long ago, but i think it is a gator back, what u think i should do, clean the pullies>
