engine hick up

i recently acquired this car from a buddy of mine. It was an car he modified years ago but has since stripped it all down to stock before i got it from him. He said the car might have minor problems but i didnt really care.

The car drove good for about a week, seemed like it was running a little rich though. On friday morning the car had a little problem, the engine seems to hick up and then catch itself and begin to run again. I thought well maybe since it was really cold that day that maybe that was the reason. Not the case though today was 20 degrees warmer and the same thing is happening. i recorded a small clip of what the car is doing. it happens randomly, every 30 seconds sometimes to maybe every few minutes, seems to happen more when driving though, which really bogs the car down.

video here:

Like i said the car was modified, the car used to be supercharged but he sold that to someone else used. I was thinking, Im sure he had the PCM tuned for his modifications. Could the car be running weird because of the tune on the PCM. Would getting the pcm retuned be the right way to go?

I also scanned the car for trouble codes, only ones i got was

11- MIL fault
29 - AIR circuit (AIR system has been takin out of car, understandable)

if you think you know anything let me know, thanks

started up the car today so the battery dont go dead and when i turn the key i can hear a noise coming from the engine bay. dont really know how to describe it maybe metal on metal?

could it be my ignition? the car starts still but the noise is there when the car starts. still same problem, randomly looses power and drops to about 100 rpms and catches itself, and sometimes just shuts right down

Does it only make the noise when the car is cranking or during the period of when the car is actually running?

i think my car likes to make me look stupid, i got home later tonight and tryed to see if the noise happens while the car is starting or running and neither. infact it didnt even happen when i turned the key. i let the car run for about 5 minutes also and it wouldnt die out the way it was. i know the problem isnt gone. im still wondering if this at all has to do with the tuning on the pcm

Ran my car this weekend and it was coughing and sputtering and the SES light was flashing. I think its the plugs because a couple backed out. Just ordered 8 new tr55s and will go from there. Not going to use anti-seize this time as there is probably more than enough still in the heads.

that is really wierd, hmm that doesnt seem like opti spark, thats more of a continuous thing or hickups at certain rpms, id check coil, fuel pump, fuel filter, injectors, Thottle Position sensor, start with those, ill see if i can get any other ideas
