Near the ABS motor? Maybe the wiring for the air pump.

you know, this would make sense because the AIR has been removed from the car by the previous owner, and i do have the DTC for the AIR circuit

Odd.... I NEVER got a DTC for the air circuit in my 94 and mine is gone as well.

Maybe the owner took the AIR fuse out as well? I would check that, and put a fuse in.

fuse is in and its good, i actually posted about this before. if it is that sensor then thats cool. just making sure its not something important. that DTC shouldnt do any harm to my car so i have just left it because i was unable to figure it out

Not a sensor per se, the connection to the pump itself.

Interesting how you have a code, and I don't. Anyway.

The diagnostic only checks the connection to the relay. If the fuse is good, you will not get a code in OBD-I. Check the fuse again.

Thats air pump stuff, take it off and be sure to reattach the groundwire.

I think you are saying the connector you are asking about is NOT like the AIR connector in the photo you linked???

There's no purple wire connected to the AIR pump. The three wires for the AIR pump are red (2) and black. The only electrical component actually mounted under the stock air filter is the cruise control module.
