I have the motor out yet again in my 95 z28 and i wanted to pull the Engine harness out to make some changes and i caint find or see how to disconnect the harness on the DRIVERS side. I have removed the 7mm bolt and i have popped out the plastic firewall holder. I dont see where it splits anywhere and i caint amagine needing to unplug everything under dash.... Or do i ? I looked in my books and dont see it anywhere... Help Please and thank you

There is no connection on the driver's side firewall. It goes into the passenger compartment behind the computer on the passenger side.

 

If the is no connection Shoebox then does that mean that the wires going threw the firewall under the brake booster must be ALL disconnected from under the dash and then pulled threw to get the harness free from the car? The passanger side is 100% donr snd free from the car everything else is unhooked with the exception of the DRIVERS side. i see on one side of the firewall connecter there is a split where it looks it May or MAYNOT come apart. the othere side does not look as if it comes apart.

 

after looking at that diagram i noticed that im trying to get the headlight harness out not the engine harness. there was so many plugs i must have over looked the fact that the engine harness was not tied into this other harness. so now i need a diagram on removing the light harness

 

Why are you removing the forward harness?

 

paint the engine compartment and to have it out of the way.
