Engine grounds

How many frame to engine grounds are there on an LT1? I just had a new 383 LT1 installed and the ground from frame to engine (driver's side) was left disconnected (ground strap was broken). Engine builder is in another state. Have talked to them and was told I don't need it. However, my nitrous switches and line lock now don't work. I realize this could be a bad ground, although I have checked it, and it was the same ground site (bolt to firewall inside on driver's side) before engine replacement. All other aftermarket guages, etc are working, including the line lock light. Appreciate any help on this.

Thanks!
Mike

Trying to remember off the top of my head... There is one ground that goes to the frame near the abs module that is part of the computer harness. There is also the grounds near the icm off the same harness. Then one off the negative battery to block and finally the one off the starter/knock sensor harness on the passenger side.

Why would someone say "you don't need that ground" seems like a "I don't care about your problem" statement. Definitely would repair any ground that is not functioning/broken before you try to diagnose anything else.

If you need to see a visual of engine grounds, I believe shoebox has a diagram of engine grounds on his site, item number 34, 35: http://shbox.com/1/schematics_wiring.html
