Engine fitment in 4th Gen.

I've thought about rebuilding a 95 LT-1 engine I've got and also thought about going with a whole different set up. What is the maximum sixe engine I could get in my engine bay. Could a 454 fit in their or something a little smaller. I just thought as much as it cost to build a strong LT maybe I could just buy a big block insted and place it in there. I know most people would probably just go with the LT but maybe I could go a different route if it would fit. Any ideas.

This topic has been discussed in length on here before. I'm sure that you could find a lot of helpful information if you did a search. I know of a few individuals who have tried to put 502's in our cars. I think that they actually were able to make it work as well, but of course there had to be some modifications made to the ignition, etc.
