engine dipstick
After my header install, my engine oil dipstick was never installed properly. At times, I believe it was not pushed in all the way. If this was the case, will that leak oil bad... even though part of the tube was in the block? And isthere supposed to be an o-ring on the stock dipstick tube? because i do not have one

pull your dipstick out nad let it sit in the freezer over night, it seems to "shrink" it enuf to eeze it back in
install it again with the help of a friend, one under the car pulling one on top pushing
it will take a very minor amount of bending to get it to fit right and clear everything but it will work, i just did this on a buddies car!

well i have a lokar now. just installed it today. I had a feeling i was low on oil and i was alittle over a qt. low 
The only reason i thought it might have been that is becuase i have a leak SOMEWHERE on the passenger side of the engine and can't seem to locate it. I thought it was the valve cover but i don't see it coming from up that high. I thought it might be the dip stick, i guess we'll find out.

when you put the Lokar in, its easiest to mount it to the 2nd to last header bolt (front to back) 1st one on the #8 primary
if you put it on the 3rd to last header bolt it doesnt want to sit in the block completely and makes tightening that bolt down a major PITA
also i notched to dipstick mount so i can slide it onto the bolt instead of sliding the bolt thru it, made it alot easier to install

yeh, tell me about tightening that bolt! it sucked.
But i got it in, and i'm pretty sure it is sitting the way it should. I'm gnna go out nad make sure again. The problem with bolting #8 primary was it would be aimed towards the back and it would have to go in awkwardly.
Does ur dipstick hold its form, bent ALOT inorder to go in the tube? and does itnot slide in complete straight?>

To answer you original question:
No, the stock dipstick does not have an oil- to seal it to the block.
I've had to replace mine (tie-down stap broke lose.) and the parts catalog didn't show any o-ring.
