Exclamation Engine is DEAD~! HELP~!

it seems like every other day there is another problem. Last night i resealed the intake manifold, checked all connections/wires/plugs....let the damn thing sit overnight, crank up for work this mornin, get on the highway and watch the oil pressure drop to steadily....by the time i got off my work exit...about 14 miles of driving my car would do over 60mph and the oil pressure hit 0 and the temp was going up....the car stalled as i pulled into a gas station...nothing pouring out of it, no massive amounts of oil missing or coolant. Car would crank but still had 0 oil pressure. Checked all fuses. Everything looked ok. What could it be? I had her towed off to a local shop to be checked out. Anyone have any ideas?

Probably not the cause but Im pretty sure you are supposed to let intake reseal for longer than just overnight

0 oil pressure and if you kept driving the car, somethin mighta went boom

Your pickup may have fallen off. Also I would check your oil for metal shavings. You may have spun some bearings and need a rebuild.

Does not sound good.
Something plugged something up, was you careful not to drop any gasket material into the motor?
Looks like a rebuild.

well im sure it could definitly effect it, but there are no signs of the f***er inside the motor at all....from what i hear i would have far more trouble than low oil pressure too....

You may have just broken the wire on the back drivers side of the block, thats the oil pressure sender, and only a single wire is not very strong when your messing with the wiring while doing the intake. It wont cause the car not to run however.

My money is on the oil pressure sending unit gone bad, loose connection in harness, or frazzled wires on it.

It is probably your car giving you a hard time cause you didn't put a cam in while you had the intake off you should of just gone all the way and do a cam. . I am not familar with the LT1 set ups but how is the oil pump drive shaft run on a LT1 car? If the LT1 is like a old sbc i guess it is in the back of the motor. When you had the intake off could you have not gotten that hooked up correctly and it could of broke or come out.??

I have 2 theorys

1. Maybe if you didnt stick a damn sponge in ur intak to suck up the oil leaks you need to FIX and just fixed them it wouldnt be broke.
2. If you knew what u were doing...that would help out also.

But really is it turning over??? if so it isnt locked YET!!!ehhe sounds like u have a MAJOR leak or ur oil pressure sensor is broke. but do like marcin said drain and get everything out of oil. just better hope nothing MAJOR is wrong with it....the shop you towed it to prob. wont work on it due to the excess OIL everywhere. well good luck and keep us updated.

I re-read your post...

Do you have fuel pressure?

Check for spark.
