Arrow Everyone using GM Extreme Duty Timing Set - Please Read!

I have two questions for those using the GM Extreme Duty timing set:

1) Did you install the new water pump gear that came with the set?

2) Does your timing set make any noises?

Please post your experiences ... I'm trying to locate my problem.
Thanks!

Yes, I did install the water pump gear. The gear is pressed on the shaft. You need a press to get it out or a tool from kent moore. My dad is a machinist so we came up with a way to remove it and install it where it belongs. Works great, no noise at all. I'm happy with it.

I didnt use the WP gear because I have an electric WP. The assembly works fine and makes no more noise than the stocker.
