Engine bolt kit...

So what kit to get? The Summit kit is said to have everything but the water pump, starter, and head bolts. Would it work on an LT1? Also what is the PN for the head bolts? Thanks!!

I just used these and there was a problem. I have the AFR 195 LT4 heads and the ARP aplication chart showes the 134-3601 as the correct P/N for LT1-AFR but the bolts are to long for the blind holes. I was able to cut the bolts to the corect length but if I had not noticed it would have caused a blown head gasket for sure. The problem is that the bolts bottom out in the hole befor the touch the head (About a 1/4 '' to long) and if you are not carefull and dont notice they will TQ down with no problem but have no down force on the head. It is posible I got a bad set but I doubt it, I think either AFR changed there casting or ARP screwed up in the apilcation chart

Were you using the correct ARP washer?
