Emmisions or Non?

If I bought Non emmisons LTs and removed and tuned out all my emmisions equip, would it be hard or expensive to replace if my emmisions testing restrictions were changed to more strict?

Or should I just buy the smog lt's and tune out all my emmisions stuff?
I'd be running an ORY

I'll be going to college soon and am not sure if I'd be able to bring my car or not.

Emmisions are for tree hugging hippies. With that said if emmessions are something you must comply with then it's my opinion you should just build around it to save from future issue especially being in college etc. Just my $.02

You won't get a performance gain by chopping the emissions stuff out. The only thing you will gain is a little weight reduction and a little clutter removed from the engine bay. If you are afraid you will have stricter emissions in the future, then I would just go with the emissions style long tubes. It will be harder to convert the "race" style headers to be smog legal if your regulations change in the future.
