Apparently now in illinois, you don't need to take the full-blown emmisions test anymore as long as you have OBD 2 and don't throw any codes. They did absolutely no visual inspection other than check my gas cap. All they did was plug into my computer and about a minute later I was done. I remember last time they actually put the car on a dyno-like device to check actual emisions readings under driving conditions. I just thought this might be useful info to anyone in Illinois with an exhaust that breathes who was worried about passing.
