Emissions: Shorties vs. LT's

If you need to pass emissions, you're forced to get shorties, no emissions, get LT's. My question though is why would have long tubes cause you spit out more "pollutants?"

It's not so much that you spit out more pollutants. Because if all the emmissions are connected it should pass also. The problem is that the cats get relocated and that is illegal. The cats can't be moved nor replaced unless a service station finds that the cat is not working properly. Nobody want's too invest the time and money to certify an lt setup with cats. Don't know if that would fly with the epa either.
