Either the tranny is built RIGHT. or its not Built right.; Either the tranny is built right but cant handle the horse power that your putting to the ground. OR The Tranny is built to handle the Horsepower that your putting out. IT all depends on the REbuild and modifications you have. My Buddy has a 97 LT1 TA with a so called BUllet Proof. 4l60E tranny. He paid 2200 bucks for the tranny. He pushing over 550hp to the ground. That Tranny lasted him for 5 Runs on the track. After the 5th run. His Clutches. Did not hold up and his tranny was slippin. IN fact We ripped out the tranny broke it down. ALl the clutches were burned up. So as Far as BUllet Proof is concerned. NO way. IT ALL depends on the BIULDER and what he puts in it. AND what you DO with the CAR. I Hihgly REcommned putting in a TRANNY COOLER with your REBUILD to keep your tranny cool under hot conditions> ANd Raybesto Clutches Those handle Power Very well. GOOD LUCK
