Before I bought that, I'd use a simple current switch around the hot lead to the pump. A current switch is a normally open contact that closes when current is drawn through the wire that it's on. You can wire a light to be on when the motor is drawing amps, and if it ever goes out, you'll know the motor is stopped. If the motor shorts out, it'll blow the fuse, which in turn will kill the circuit and turn the light off too. Use one of these maybe...:
